BANK HOLIDAY DRAW FOR FIRSTS
Posted by: Knaphill Football Club on Monday 5th May 18:29:21
A disciplined and dogged performance by the first team saw them grind out a 1-1 draw at Warlingham on Bank Holiday Monday. With no fewer then seven first team players out through injury or non availability and the fact that the team travelled to Warlingham with no substitutes! saw them grab a point when Luke Taylor equalised five minutes after the home side had taken the lead.
Knaphill did deserve more and did play the better football at times and may be should have grabbed all three points but debut boy Noble Asbingo's shot just went wide with the Warlingham keeper well beaten. Special mention to the skipper Lee Crozier and Jordan Fastnedge who both played through the pain barrier through injury.
The first team's last away trip is this coming Saturday 10th May when they face Farleigh Rovers followed by there final home game of the season on Tuesday 13th May against Tongham.
